Lifeguarding and Surf Instructing are two of life's most rewarding jobs. The International Surf Centre specialises in running National Aquatic Rescue Standard Beach Lifeguard and Surf Life Saver Awards. These awards are a prerequisite for working with the RNLI on most of the UK beaches. The Beach Lifeguard Award is also needed should you wish to train as a BSA surf instructor. As you can see below we also offer the BSA surf instructor awards. The NARS Beach Lifeguard award is one the most comprehensive lifeguard courses in the world and both lifesaving awards are internationally recognised, should you wish to spend their holidays or a gap year working in the uk or abroad. 

 

Candidates can either join in on courses already advertised or we can run a course specifically for your group, subject to numbers.

The NaRS Beach Life guard & Surf Coach Life Saver course are run together, The course content of the Surf Coach Life Saver is very similar to the N.A.R.S. Beach Life guard award except the course allows you an extra two minutes to complete the 4oom timed pool swim.
