At Pembrokeshire and West Wales' Premier Surf School we offer a full range of surfing lessons and equipment hire, from a half day tuition to week long courses, Kids' Clubs, surf camps and more.
The surf courses are run at Newgale, Broadhaven, Freshwater West and Manorbier.
Outer Reef also runs ISA surfing Instructor Courses, as well as NaRS, SLSA Beach LifeGuard awards and is one of the only official Training Centre in Wales and the GB. Our Instructors have over 30 years surfing experience between them, as well as 35 years coaching watersports to all ages and abilities.

Beginner courses Wales
Our Instructors are all fully qualified Surf Coaches & nars Beach Lifeguards who will run you through the first stages of learning how to Surf in Pembrokeshire Wales. They will introduce you to the equipment, how to Surf it and how to catch a wave. Safety is a big factor and you will be shown good awareness of your surroundings, whilst at the same time we can guarantee you will have a great time at some of the most beautiful beaches in Pembrokeshire.

Nars Beach Lifeguard courses
NARS Beach Life Guard Award uk [£195 per person]
This award establishes a standard that allows candidates to become full Nars Beach Lifeguards, a qualification which is internationally recognised.
The course is held over 40 hours training plus 1 day examination by SLSA Examiners. The course includes a fitness test involving a timed pool swim of 400m, that must be completed in 7min 30sec. Candidates must be able to achieve this before attending the course.

Surfing Instructor Courses
The ISA Surfing Coach Accreditation Scheme is structured to train and accredit Surf Coaches at 2 levels. Outer Reef is the official Training Centre for theISA in the UK. Advanced Surf Coaching
Surfing is a sport where you can reach a performance plateau and get stuck at a level, unable to progress. Certain skills can not be learned through experience alone. Everyone can benefit from additional surfing lessons. Having one of our Senior Surfing Instructors analyse your style, techniques, wave selection etc. can have a dramatic effect on your surfing and produce quick results. We can refine your existing surfing skills as well as introduce new ones. We also ensure that there are enough Instructors on hand to offer individual coaching within a group environment.
