This Saturday, December 16th, witnessed Manorbier beach coming alive with smiles and excitement, even under the grey, rainy skies. As the Salty Sisters gathered, the car park buzzed with warm anticipation for our Santa Hat Surf Social!
A DYNAMIC START WITH JENNY'S SURF WARM-UP
Jenny, our enthusiastic leader, initiated the session with an active warm-up, setting the tone for a morning of surf, fun, and festive cheer. For those new to the Salty Sisters Community, Jenny provided a friendly introduction to surfing. Meanwhile, Gemma delved into more advanced techniques, offering intermediate tuition and advice to our regular surfers.
EPIC WAVES AND SKILL SHOWCASES
As the tide dropped, the conditions improved, and the waves became nothing short of epic, providing the perfect canvas for the Salty Sisters to showcase their skills. Newcomers triumphantly rode waves to the shore for the first time, while our intermediate surfers skillfully navigated the lefts and rights of the peeling waves.
CAMARADERIE AND PRIDE
The camaraderie among the group was palpable, and the sense of pride for everyone's progress over the last 10 months was tangible. It's incredibly heartening to see new faces joining each session, a testament to the welcoming spirit of Salty Sisters.
POST-SURF COZINESS AND CONNECTION AT MANORBIER BEACH
After the exhilarating surf session, Gemma treated everyone to mulled wine and biscuits, creating a cozy gathering in the car park. These post-surf moments are as enjoyed as the time in the water, fostering connections and shared joy.
CHEERS TO 2024 AND MORE WAVES!
As we bid farewell to 2023, we're already brimming with excitement for what 2024 holds for The Salty Sisters. The Santa Surf Social was a fantastic way to close the year, and we can't wait to ride more waves and create lasting memories with all our Salty Sisters in the coming year.
