At Outer Reef Surf School, we've been teaching families and individuals to surf here since 1999, offering daily lessons from Easter through October. Our ISA-qualified instructors provide morning sessions starting at 9:45am and afternoon sessions at 1:45pm, with times optimised for ideal tide and wind conditions. Every lesson includes professional instruction, quality wetsuits, surfboards, and all necessary safety equipment. Beyond surfing, Newgale offers incredible coastal features including walk-through caves at the southern end and access to hidden bays at low tide. Whether you're a complete beginner or looking to improve your technique, our experienced team is here to help you catch your first wave or master your skills in this stunning natural setting. Outer Reef Surf School is the official activity provider for The National Trust, and we approach all our surfing lessons with safety in mind. We are licensed by the AALA (Adventure Activities Licensing Association), are an SSA accredited surf school, and all Outer Reef surf coaches are fully qualified ISA surf school instructors.
