Outer Reef runs the ultimate surf school in Pembrokeshire. Join our surf lesson, we'll meet you to the best beaches with perfect learning waves and will have you riding in no time.
Before your surf courses, you will be met by your friendly Outer Reef surf coach and meet the rest of your surf group, the exact beach depends on the conditions on the day, so we ask everyone to call the day before, as we decided where the waves are ideal for learning to surf.

Main Season
You will mostly find us at Freshwater West & Manorbier Beach, Depending on the conditions of the day.
We will pick the best and safest beach for learning and meet you 15 minutes prior to your lesson.
Early & Late Season
You're more likely to find us all over Pembrokeshire as we look for the best waves during the larger swells and stronger winds that come around this time of year.

Our instructors are all fully qualified ISA Surf & Stand up paddle boarding coaches & SLSGB Beach Lifeguards who will run you through the first stages of learning how to surf in Pembrokeshire. They will introduce you to the equipment, how to surf it and how to catch a wave. Safety is a big factor and you will be shown good awareness of your surroundings, whilst at the same time, we can guarantee you will have a great time at some of the most beautiful beaches in Pembrokeshire.

We approach all our surf lessons with safety in mind. We are licensed by the AALA (Adventure Activities Licensing Association) We are an accredited surf school, and all our surf coaches are fully qualified ISA surf school instructors. Outer Reef is the activity provider at the National Trust camp site and we operate in Tenby - Saundersfoot - Manorbier - Stackpole Quay - Freshwater West
